Holds a Masters degree of
Fine Arts of Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, Austria.
She developed her work
throughout the media of stage -& costume design, performance art,
installation, film, photography and painting, which was showcased in Vienna,
London, Munich, Berlin, Venice, Beirut, Norway and Australia.
She taught 10 years at the
University of Applied Arts Vienna and moved to Beirut in 2009.
As Visiting Professor at the
Fine Art and Art History Department of the American University of Beirut she
initiated teaching Performance art and is continuing her work as an artist and
professor until now.
The focus on the female
struggle in society throughout history has always been a
strong actuator for her work
and her performances are in general mute, using also
nature or urban deserted
spaces as a stage.
Her public performances in
Lebanon with unprofessional young Lebanese like “777” Dome downtown Beirut
/2010 and “Along the white line” Corniche, Beirut / 2011 were widely reviewed
in Lebanon the US, Canada and Austria. She took part in several artist
residencies, received many scholarships and was recently awarded with a Mellon
Foundation Grant to choreograph “Salome
versus Bluebeard” with professionals and amateurs in cooperation with Al Madina
Theater Beirut , which was staged on Dec.1&2, 2012.
