George Arbid has conducted research on modern architecture in Lebanon and has lectured widely. He graduated in architecture in 1988 from the AcadémieLibanaise des Beaux-Arts, and in 2002 with a Doctor of Design degree from Harvard University. He is an Associate Professor at the American University of Beirut, currently teaching design studios, regional architecture and history of modern architecture in the Arab World. He is a founding member and director of the Arab Center for Architecture (ACA).
